Fantastic Job Search Tools and Where To Find Them

The Killer Pitch

You don’t have much time and it seems like no one cares.  So, how do you turn that around? You need to, very quickly, let people know who you are, what you’re looking for and how they can help in way that they become interested and want to help.  This is probably the hardest little nugget to pull off, but you will – because, well, Boot Camp.  You’ll also learn how to create a bunch of different pitches for different audiences. Oh, and there will be time to try them out on each other to get some feedback.

Your Cool Accomplishments

You know you’ve done something cool, or your team did, or your company.  In the workshop we hunt these jewels down and flesh them out so you can drop them in your resume where the recruiters and hiring managers can find them – because that’s what they’re looking for.

The Captivating Story

Do you want to have a brief interview of question/answer ping-pong that ends with “we’ll be in touch” or do you want to drive an interesting conversation that ends with “can you hang around a little longer, there’s someone else I’d like you to meet”?  It’s great when the cool accomplishment scores you an interview, now you need to demonstrate “organizational fit”.  You do that by telling stories the interviewer can relate to in a way that highlights the skills they’re looking for, especially the ‘soft’ skills. You’ll have fun sharing your newly crafted story and listening to others’ before we “strike the set”.

So, Who Ya Gonna Call?

Sales folks work from a ‘funnel’ where prospects get plugged into a process that moves them through until they close the sale.  Your job search is no different.  But before you work the funnel, you need to find the prospects.  That’s the sales persons’ hardest job and your’s as well.  We’ve put together little prospecting tool that will keep you organized and focused and help you fill that funnel. All your eggs in the right baskets.
